What a summer! Recording with Space Pimps, Punchline, Applasia, Sound design for Burn This, Hosting a wealth of cool shows at the Hazlett. New gear including a Yamaha LS9-32, more box truss, more Meyer boxes etc. Getting ready for the big G20 conference in Pittsburgh. Can't be any feedback for our world leaders!

Just finished the Penguins TV commercial featuring Pittsburghs own Pop Punk legends Punchline. We managed a one day track and mix of "What a Wonderful World" What pros. Almost everything was one take, and John was the BGV king!

Work on the Space Pimps new album continues. Almost done with basic tracks!

Lots of remote recording this month. Henry Reeses City Of Asylum Project with Jazz legend Oliver Lake, Hip Hop Pioneers The Last Poets and Anthony Rapp the star of The Broadway Musical Rent. He debuted his one man show at City Theatre Company. I designed a 7 channel rig with Meyer UPA's and MAPP software to serve the entire theater with even coverage.

East coast legends Crack The Sky performed at the Hazlett on July 20th. The new transformered split worked flawlessly, with 40 inputs appearing at FOH, Monitors and the Protools rack with no problems! This was also the virgin run for the new monitor system. Eight mixes on biamped wedges with a stereo drum fill.

I recently provided AV for the Anthrocon convention at the David L Lawrence Convention center. 3000 furries!

PETER MURPHY will be performing in the theater on June 23rd. Should be a great show with the new Meyer rig hanging!

I just added 3 elation 575 spot moving lights to the inventory. Controlled by the Hog3 PC system yeeha!

The studio at the Hazlett Theater is close to completion. I just took delivery of the 56 input Euphonix CS2000 from Java room at Capitol Records. This console was owned by Glenn Ballard who used it to mix many platnum records including Alanis Morrisettes Jagged Little Pill. With full recall of all functions of the console, this will make switching between live events in the theater and sessions in the studio a breeze! Stay tuned for pix.

I just completed a 6 channel surround sound design for Barebones Productions. "Take Me Out" is a play about baseball politics and coming out. It's getting rave reviews.

I just recieved my upgraded 3 way transformered split snake. It now has 56 channels of Jenson transformers.

After years of renting high $ audio gear to friends and peers, I've gone legit with HEARCORP: High End Audio Rentals. Stay tuned for the website.

More PA! I've added 8 Meyer MSL-3s and 4 Meyer 650 sub boxes to the inventory. Can't wait to get the full rig outside this spring!

Attack Theater came to The Hazlett Theater in January. Backed up by a fabulous pit band led by Dave Eggars, (Evanesance, Sheryl Crow) I provided an eight channel Meyer PA and 48 track Protools recording. A world premier of Japanese composer Somei Satohs piece mesmerized the audience. Kevin Matz designed an absolutely beautiful show with a boat load of Varilite VL 5000's .

Live Recording/DVD shoot this weekend with the MEKONS at the Hazlett. Should be a good time. I now have two Tascam MX2424's for 48 tracks of live recording with Apogee conversion. All this on a three way split for FOH, Monitors and isolated record feed.

Echo systems: The desert came through the Hazlett utilizing a 16 box Meyer UPA system with 8 discrete zones. Eight In ear mixes were used by the performers for a great sounding design by NY based Leon Rosenberg and the Mutt Man.

Just got back from doing audio for the US Open in Flushing Meadows. Federer just can't be beaten!

I've just added a DDA Arena 48 by 24 console and an 8 receiver IEM package to the inventory. More GAK!

Tracking has begun on "The Saturn Five" record. Details coming soon.

The Centipede East record has been completed. Produced by Josh Tanzer with mixing duties handled by Carl Bochek.

I've begun design on the New Covenant Churchs Acoustic treatment. With a reverb time of almost seven seconds their recreational room is all but unusable for meetings and concerts. I hope to reduce the RT60 to less than two seconds.

Prime Stage Theatre has opened Diary of Anne Frank with Dave as the Production Manager. I designed and built a flown three projector rig with synchronized Images of the historic Frank house in Amsterdam. Cool!

The Shanks had their CD release party at the Hazlett with my full audio rig. 12 Meyer boxes and a full protools rig with a two camera shoot made for a great evening of music.

The new Barn studio is up and running. Images and MP3's are coming shortly.

Other exciting news involves my acceptance of the Technical Director position at the freshly rehabed reopened New Hazlett Theatre. With a 450 seat capacity and brand new build out, look for exciting shows and recording projects happining in this great space. I'm in the process of relocating all my live production gear from the David L. Lawrence Convention Center to the Theater.

The Space Pimps CD is finished and doing well, with a big push/tour happening in Japan. Good Luck guys!

I've just finished a sound design for BUG a play being produced by Patrick Jordan and his Bare Bones Productions. His work ethic and quality asthetic are refreshing.
